Caritas Kigali’s Abadacogora-Intwari Centre which rehabilitate street kids has welcomed 6217 street kids since 1984 to 2019.
After rehabilitating those children from street they are sent back to school.
Currently 4817 children have finished primary studies after being rehabilitated from street by Abadacogora-Intwari Centre, among them 2826 are males and 1991 are females. All of the children receive all the materials needed to perform better.
502 have finished High School studies, among them 339 males and 163 females while 898 have graduated in Technical and Vocational Education among them 581 males and 317 females.
Students get support from Abadacogora-Intwari Center, including school fees, school uniforms and all other materials to perform better.
After finishing studies they are given basic equipment to enable them create jobs.
Sending street kids back to school is one way of rehabilitating them and prepare them to become accountable citizens. When they are sent back to school they perform better, and start showing their different talents, reason why they oriented in different fields of studies.
Abadacogora-Intwari Centre provides all the necessary to those children to facilitate their education, as it believe that education is one of the development pillars.
